Drawing All-Stars is a FREE 2.5 year pre-professional fellowship for high schoolers in grades 9th and 10th led by Teen Art Salon in partnership with The Drawing Center. Focusing on New York City’s next generation of artists, the program supports teens to expand their drawing practices, amplify their artistic ambitions, and pursue creative career endeavors.
Over a multi-year period participants will develop a portfolio, craft individual style and a critical voice, and build a diverse body of major works through uninterrupted studio time.

Camp DRAW-A-THON
AUGUST 2024
Camp DRAW-A-THON is a free summer intensive for rising 7th-9th and 10th-11th graders led by Teen Art Salon in partnership with The Drawing Center. Over a one-week period, young artists will engage in a dynamic daily drawing marathon to fill a sketchbook.
Character and Creature Design
Monday July 29 - Friday August 2
3:00pm to 5:00PM
This one-week free art intensive will focus on the building blocks of visual storytelling: the basics of character & creature design, alongside illustrating environments.
Participants will learn science of creature design and how to create figures through basic anatomy and gesture drawing. Inspiration will be taken from animation, manga, and graphic novels to practice drawing movement, setting, and narrative choices. Students will also learn the beginnings of storyboarding, with the goal of illustrating character-driven visuals.
We welcome all young artists who enjoy sketching original characters and unique worlds.
All materials will be provided.

Art Portfolio Intensive

This one week art intensive will focus on developing middle schoolers drawing and design skills in order to prepare them for New York City’s Visual Arts High School admissions.
